Regional NPF launch

The launch of National Planning Framework in the Eastern and Midland region took place on Tuesday 21st February 2017 at 2.30 pm in the Axis Theatre in Ballymun.

Among the speakers was Simon Coveney, TD, Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government.

After opening the meeting by Michael Curran and a welcome speech by Dermot Lacey, Cathaoirleach of EMRA guests watched the Ireland 2040 video which you can see below:

In his speech Minister Simon Coveney underlined the importance of good planning and learning from mistakes of the past. He also stressed that the aim is for investment to follow the prioritisation outlined in the NPF.

This was followed by a presentation by Paul Hogan from the Department of Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government and contributions from Paul Madden Ericsson, Geraldine Stout and Mark Scott. The final part of the launch was a Q&A session in which several members of the audience took part asking questions to the Minister and the panel of experts.
