We are pleased to inform you that the Eastern and Midland Regional Assembly is the organiser of this years’ Association of Irish Regions (AIR) Training Event:
Brexit, Regional Planning and EU Affairs
Challenges and Opportunities for Regional Government
The event will take place on the 26th of May in The Park Suite, Parkview Hotel, Main Street, Newtownmountkennedy, Co. Wicklow.
We would like to invite all Local Authority Elected Members and Members of the three Regional Assemblies to take part in the training. Online registration is available under this link: www.emra.ie/AIR . The fee for the conference is €100.
The three Regional Assemblies in Ireland are primarily focused on the formulation, adoption and implementation of Regional Spatial and Economic Strategies, implementation of national economic policy, management of EU Operational Programs, and EU project participation.
The 2017 Association of Irish Regions training event in conjunction with the Eastern and Midland Regional Assembly will address the latest opportunities and developments in the key functions of the Regional Assemblies namely Regional Planning and EU Affairs. The event will also address the challenges posed by Brexit to regional government in Ireland and Europe in 2017
