EU Programmes

Beyond its role of Managing authority for the EU JTF programme, EMRA acts as National Contact Point (NCP) for two European programmes focusing on sustainable urban development: URBACT and the European Urban Initiative (EUI).

EMRA also promotes other EU funding programmes of relevance to regional stakeholders.

The NCP role is to share information about the programme their responsible for and to facilitate the development of projects by offering support and guidance to applicants.

URBACT

URBACT is a European programme which promotes integrated sustainable urban development in cities and towns across Europe. It is primarily funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

European Urban Initiative (EUI)

The European Urban Initiative (EUI) sets out to help realise the Urban Agenda for the EU, working closely with the new URBACT IV programme, and by consolidating the Urban Innovative Actions (UIA) and Urban Development Network (UDN) into one initiative.

Monitoring of other EU programmes

Beyond its role of Managing authority for the EU JTF programme, EMRA is involved in the monitoring of several other EU programmes.

Following the Partnership Principles within the Partnership Agreement with the European Union, EMRA in its capacity as Managing Authority of an EU funding programme, sits on the Programme Monitoring Committees and/or Steering Committees of the ERDF, ESF+, EMFAF, AMIF programmes and also on the following INTERREG programmes PEACEPLUS, Atlantic Area and North West Europe.
