The 3 Regional Assemblies of Ireland hosted a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Webinar on the 26^th November 2020.  This webinar is a first step in re-establishing the Regional Fora Training Events for SEA in consultation with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) which were previously held by the Regional Authorities pre-2015.  These events will now be organised at the regional level by the established 3 regional assemblies.  These Regional Fora events are important for training and capacity building for local authorities undertaking SEA in their upcoming development plan/LAP reviews and it also provides an opportunity to showcase the most up to date research and outputs of the various departments.

The event was organised as a combined 3 Regional Assemblies of Ireland event online in response to the Covid-19 situation.  The engagement undertaken as part of this webinar will inform a planned series of webinars on particular environmental topics in 2021.
