Interreg North West Europe Approvals

The Interreg NWE Monitoring Committee approved seven more projects at its meeting in Paris in early March.  Ten Irish organisations from a variety of sectors are participating in three of the approvals.

The newly approved projects will cover a variety of issues which are common to the NWE area under the three programme priorities of Innovation, Low Carbon, and Resource Efficiency.

For Ireland, these will cover the health sector, renewable energy for communities and the use of straw in buildings as insulant.  More details will be announced once contracts are finalised.

This brings the number of projects approved to 24, with approximately 22% of the programme budget for projects committed to date.  Full details of approved projects can be viewed here.

There is still plenty of opportunity for potential applicants to secure funding – Call 5 will close on 24th May, and Call 6 will be launched later this year.
